Requiem For a Dream
Neither provocative nor deep, this pointless exercise exacerbates an even bigger issue than drug abuse… giving pretentious directors enough cred to garner funding for follow-up refuse like The Fountain. Please! Please edgy punk rawk girl! Play the Requiem Theme on your boombox while you fart around in Tompkins Sq. Park with your shitty friends who echo your opinions on cinema and literature. If losers didn’t have dovetailing interests, they’d never meet in public places, and give dicks like myself a target for mockery and ridicule. Continue validating me by praising this shitty movie. Advice: take cues from Jared Leto’s character, and up the stakes… Next time your squatter friend offers you a shot of heroin when you’re hating life in the back of Odessa Diner on Avenue A, don’t hesitate. Deeeeeeeeeep!

you mother fucker this movie is so deep bro, you just can’t fathom it’s complexity.<——haha no. what if I was like that? i’d shoot myself in the scrotum.
anyways, i don’t think that this movie was ever an attempt to delve deep into the issue of drug abuse… the plot and conclusion are both straightforward and for the most part true to reality. drugs will eventually leave you an amputee… just a fact of life. one of the laws of physics, newton’s fith I suppose.
BUT- this movie is a real gem in cinematography and sound design. Just superb.
annnnnd why do you care so much about the opinions of others so much that you go out of your way to tear other people’s down and immaturely vomit yours out in their place? Not secure with yourself maybe? who care’s about the ‘edgy punk rawk(retarted by the way) girls’ in tompkins sq? fuck em. they can be however they want. An if they want to step into a mold let em. it probly scares the shit out of em not to be.
